MCP AI Integration APIs
MCP Server Explorer
Back to all demos
A live Model Context Protocol server that exposes a sample business API — orders, customers, and invoices — as AI-callable tools.
This demo shows what it looks like when an existing business API is made AI-ready through the Model Context Protocol. A small MCP server wraps a sample commerce API and exposes its capabilities as clean, well-described tools that any MCP-aware AI client can use.
What it demonstrates
- Tool discovery — the AI client connects and automatically sees the available operations:
search_orders,get_customer,create_invoice, and more. - Intention-shaped operations — instead of raw CRUD, the server exposes business actions with plain-language descriptions the model can reason about.
- Authentication & scoping — each tool runs with scoped credentials, so the agent can only do what it’s authorized to.
- Structured results — every response comes back as a typed object the model can parse reliably.
How it works
- The MCP server sits in front of an existing REST API — no changes to the underlying service.
- It advertises tools, resources, and prompts over the standard MCP transport.
- An AI assistant connects as an MCP client and can now answer questions like “What’s the status of order 1043?” or “Create a draft invoice for this customer” — by calling real tools, not hallucinating.
Why it matters
This is the fastest, lowest-risk way to connect AI to systems you already run. Your APIs stay exactly as they are; the MCP server gives the AI a safe, well-described surface to work with.
Want this on your own APIs? This is exactly what our MCP Accelerator package delivers in two weeks.
